partnermarketing.com is a world-class through-channel marketing automation platform, offering professional marketing solutions and services. Originally built in 2008 the platform was completely designed and re-built in 2016. This led to the need for a comprehensive design system to ensure consistency throughout the platform.
The platform is continually evolving with updates and new features being added all the time. To ensure that this can be done efficiently we needed a design system to inform both the design and development teams.
A style library and later a style guide were created. This was initially in Sketch and later moved to Figma. It is continually maintained and used as a single source of truth for any new features added to the platform.
I created a style guide as a clear and easy reference guide for anyone involved in the design or build of platform features. It documents all of the main elements within the design system and any rules around how to use things.
Alongside the style guide, I also maintain a components library within Figma which allows all components to be used across multiple files. It ensures consistency and means any updates made to a master component can be pushed out to all files easily.
