Product Management

(Product Owner) / 2016 – 2021

Tools used:
Product Owner Responsibilities

As Product Owner, I collaborated closely with product management and key stakeholders to define and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring the team could effectively deliver solutions that aligned with business priorities while maintaining technical integrity.

I managed a detailed 3-month roadmap and was an integral part of the team participating in all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint and release planning. I documented user stories and defined acceptance criteria, working alongside the development team to maintain a consistent velocity, enabling us to deliver features on time and within budget.

Additionally, I was responsible for overseeing the design and user experience of the product, ensuring we were delivering seamless experiences.

Product Roadmap

I owned both our short term (6 months) and long term (12 months and beyond) product roadmaps and pro-actively got approval for these on a quarterly basis. They were revised monthly, ensuring they accounted for client requests and shifting priorities.

Ideas Portal

I ran and maintained a set of ideas portal that were open to both out internal teams and our clients. These were reviewed monthly with the team with requests either moved onto the roadmap, merged with other ideas or rejected.

Translations

I managed translations of our main platform in 19 languages. This included organising translations in OneSky (our translation software), making adjustments for language lengths and making sure each language went through regular round of QA to maintain consistency.

Sprint Management

While product owner I played the role of Scrum Master and ran our teams daily, weekly and monthly meetings. These included, stand-ups, sprint planning and sprint reviews. This was all managed in Jira.

Site Setup and Onboarding

As part of our onboarding process for new clients I was responsible for the site setup process. This included gathering all of the relevant information from the client and their technical team in order to set up their new site correctly.

Feature Management

For each new feature that was planned into a sprint I worked with the wider development team to scope them. Depending on the size of the feature this may include a scope document, workflows, user flows, wireframes and prototypes.

Training

As part of our campaign setup on the platform I worked with the team to deliver training sessions for new clients. These included, presentations, workshops, setup of a knowledge base and Q&A sessions to make sure their teams were able to use the platform efficiently.
